The Marlins Just Made The Best Decision In Franchise History And Are Bringing Back The Teal Throwbacks!
The teal is back baby! The Marlins announced that to honor their 30th year they will be rocking their throwback uniforms, including teal hats every Friday home game for the 2023 season.
Now I have gone on record saying the teal original Marlins hat is a top 3 hat of all time. It's incredible. The teal is just beautiful and the logo is fantastic. It was the perfect hat. The Marlins had some damn good success in those uniforms too. Two World Series titles and have been a laughing stock ever since they ditched the old logo and colors for the new gross scheme.
Teal doesn't work with all jerseys but the Fish nailed it. So clean, so 90s, so Florida.
Now in the video they included other uniforms that didn't include the teal, so I wonder if we're going to see the Juan Pierre and Dontrelle Willis black hat and black jersey combos too. I know teams are limited with how many uniforms they can wear this year (Thanks Nike) but going back is better. Turning the clock back is better every single time. Teal hat, "Marlins" on the front, pinstripes on the white unis. It's perfection.
They haven't had much to cheer about in Miami when it comes to the Marlins but this is one of them. Gigantic W for the franchise. Now I need to get another teal Marlins hat ASAP.
